Deep Waters Recovery’s mission is to transform trauma and dependency into lives of meaning through experiential programming. we are a community of people in recovery from dysfunction, substance abuse, and trauma. Our Team

Dr. Bob Beare, PhD
Executive Director, Founder
Bob is the founder of DeepWatersRecovery.org Healing and Recovery Programs, Bobbeare.com Empowerment Programs, and the Experiential Facilitator Workshops/Certification Program. He is a 3-time publish best-selling author and has been a leader in the mental health and addiction field for 20 years. He holds advanced degrees in music, theater, and clinical and organization psychology.
Kimberly Dragon-Flournoy, LCDC, CEF
Director of Programs
Kim has 13+ years of active recovery and professional experience in the addictions field and holds degrees in Addictions Counseling and Social Psychology. Kim continues her work in the addiction recovery field as a counselor and program manager for a variety of agencies, and is currently practicing as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor helping others heal from trauma.

James Saxton, LCSW, LCDC, CCTP, CSTS, CEF
Experiential Facilitator
James is a certified experiential facilitator with Deep Waters Recovery Programs and has over 16 years of personal recovery experience, including work in AA, ACA, Refuge Recovery, and healing programs such as Deep Waters. His passion for healing and recovery lives in the ‘intersection of addiction and trauma.’ Based in San Antonio, he serves as a therapist, holding licenses as both a Clinical Social Worker and a Chemical Dependency Counselor. He brings the heart of a wounded healer, offering deep compassion, empathy, and insight to those he serves.

Ariel Antman-Kennedy, LCDCI, CEFI
Program Manager/Administrator
As Program Administrator and Senior Staff at Deep Waters Recovery, Ariel Antman-Kennedy weaves together structure, presence, and heart. Her personal experience with trauma work deeply informs her love for somatic practices, shadow work, and the transformative power of psychodrama. Ariel is also deeply committed to maintaining a strong recovery program, which continues to anchor her work and inspire those around her. An Enneagram 6, Ariel is grounded, loyal, and always attuned to the energy of the room. Deep Waters continues to be a place of growth and discovery for Ariel—as much as for anyone who dives into the experience.
